We are pleased to offer the following training seminars as the first of many in a series designed to improve production in your finish room. Each seminar has space for approximately 20 participants. If demand exceeds that capacity, we will consider adding another date to meet that demand. SCHEDULE: (all seminars will be held at 4:00pm)
MAY 7: "TRANSFER EFFICIENCY" If you would like to save 15-40% of your current material costs, come learn why 'Transfer Efficiency' is something you need to know about. In this seminar, we will teach you about the differences between each type of pump and gun system, including HVLP, airless, air-assisted airless, and Airmix. We will show you the things that cost you money when not properly maintained, and what to do about it. We'll help you develop a structured maintainance plan for your finish room so you have minimal down time. JUNE 11: "MATERIALS 101" We will review the chemical differences between nitrocellulose (NC) lacquer, pre-cat lacquer, conversion varnish, polyurethane, and water-based finishes. This will be a hands-on opportunity for you to test different finishes, and a great way to familiarize yourself with water-based products (which we all know are coming). JULY ?? We will be scheduling an all-day seminar to train you on the use of the Old Masters Touch-up Kit. This will include wax techniques, burning-in, soft putty, and stain markers. This seminar will be taught be an Old Masters Representative that will fly in for the day, and is one seminar you won't want to miss! Past Seminars: (We would be happy to do a repeat of any of these seminars at our location or yours. Just give us a call! APRIL 9: "MAKING WHITE PAINTS EASY" This seminar will introduce you to a proven system of using white paints for your projects. As contemporary styles are becoming more prevalent, more customers are requesting white painted jobs. Many customers have doubts about their ability to produce a clean painted door without the need to put down 6-7 coats. Come learn how Becker's products will produce a superior painted finish in 2-3 coats. We will also show you solid glazing technigues when going over the top of paints, whether using pre-cat or conversion varnish. |
